After work last week we decided that we should play in our front yard a little bit

Well Stella loved it, when we went back inside she stood at the front door and kept reaching up to the door handle.

I think I am in a lot of trouble once she is tall enough to reach the handle, i will always lock the dead bolt!

Roseola

The Roseola Virus
that is what Stella has had and still has since last Thursday
We thought it was just teething but on Saturday night when she spiked a fever of 105.6 degrees we knew it was not teething.
First you get a high fever (which she got) then once it breaks you break out in a HORRIBLE rash (which she now has)

Then on top of everything Stella has her 1 year well check up today and had to get 3 shots
That did not add to the happiness of Stella or I
This means a lot more of no sleeping at night for the both of us and a lot more crying
I do love that Stella is so cuddly right now,
she never wants to be held, ever.

Her rash, it is even worse as time goes on
I can't wait till it is gone

Grandma Hooper gave her a dollar for Valentine's Day and she couldn't put it down.
I was surprised because she was so careful with the dollar
and wanted it right next to her the whole night.

So my little girl is a little small but I love her!

Abby

She follows her around and pats her and tries the hug her.

First Birthday

Stella is 1
We had Stella's first birthday party at the Villa Gardens Reception and Event Center
because our house is to little to fit both our big families
and my sister-in-law is the building manager, so that worked out great!
We had a BBQ with cake and ice cream.
Stella had so much fun following all her cousins around the building, she wants to do whatever they are doing.
My mom made Stella the cutest outfit but I didn't get a picture with the whole outfit on somehow so I will need to get some copies from my mom and then I will post them.

I made Stella's cake and I thought it turned out really good.

Every time I helped Stella open a present she would go "ooohhh" and hug it.
She is so funny.

We almost didn't make it with an A because it got lost between our house and the Villa Gardens.
Thanks to my wonderful husband for running to Pebbles right before the party.

Stella loves her Grandpa she thinks he is so funny and loves making faces with him.

When we started singing Happy Birthday she couldn't stop smiling she LOVED it!
I was so surprised because a lot of kids cry during the song.

She wasn't really interested in the cake
She LOVED the candle, she kept licking the frosting off of it.
We had to help her a little in getting into the cake because she kept softly touching the frosting.

Thank you for everyone who came it was a wonderful party.

Popsicles

Grandpa is ALWAYS giving Stella popsicles!

He loves popsicles so I think he is trying to get Stella addicted also.

Anytime Grandpa gets one he goes straight to Stella to see if she wants some

Of course she does! She always want what everybody else has.

It is nice because she doesn't touch the popsicle she just lets Grandpa control it.
It probably is not the best thing to give her (sugar) since she never stops moving in the first place but it does not seem to make things worse, so I don't stop the popsicle giving.
And it is so cute!

I just love my little girl and my Dad for being such a great Grandpa
