Stella and I

7.26.2012

Stella found my camera and wanted to take pictures
So after she took a couple of the carpet and couch we took some pics of us
She kept looking at the screen instead of the lens
Love that little girl!
She definitely makes some days extremely difficult
but then she makes all the rest amazing!

Monsoon Season

{July 24th}

We had a bit of a storm last Tuesday out in the Fort Pierce Industrial Park.
It started as just dark clouds out towards the Arizona Strip but around 1:15 it got extremely dark. It almost looked like night time.
First came the rain then wind then hail.
It was so crazy, I had never seen a storm like this before.
My dad was sitting in his truck in the parking lot of the office. He said he thought his truck was going to blow away with him in it.
After about 20 minutes for rain, wind and hail it stopped.

This was about 30 minutes after the storm had ended, I have better pics on my phone.

We lost power a couple minutes into the storm because of a snapped telephone pole that was on our corner. Our air conditioning units were blown over and water leaked into the office where they left a hole. Neighbors debry hit a truck window and it broke. The wind blew in our garage door (luckily it didn't fall down like some of the other businesses in the area)
This was very crazy weather!

Camping

{July 13 - 15}

We headed to the North Rim with our friends Clyde and Brittney for a fun weekend of camping and four wheeling. We decided we should camp right by the Grand Canyon so we could see the sunset everynight so we headed to Fire Point.

Friday night we heard Coyotes howling all night and they seemed to be so close (who knows if they really were) but luckily Stella and I were in the truck bed so I wasn't worried. Around 3:00am Stella woke up and told me her stomach hurt so I grabbed my thermals and she threw up into them. Once she stopped she said she felt better and went back to sleep. A couple hours later (not sure of the time) she woke up saying she needed a drink cause her stomach was hurting so I went and got some water and Scott came with paper towels just in case. Well a couple minutes later she threw up again but luckily in paper towels. Then we all fell asleep again for who knows how long but not long enough.

As soon as Stella woke up around 7:00 it started pouring. Well after about 20 minutes our campsite was a river about 4-5 inches deep. Then we started worrying about the road because it was already a bit washed out and it takes 30 minutes to get to the main road for our campsite. We decided to pack everything up, find a campsite closer to the main road and to eat breakfast at Jacob Lake.
About 20 minutes into our drive back the rain slowed to a sprinkle. There were a couple spots that were really deep but we made it!

After a delicious and LONG breakfast we made it to our new campsite, unpacked everything and layed EVERYTHING out to dry. Everything got wet when we packed it up in the storm. Luckily the sun was out for a couple hours before it started raining again. We played cards upder the canopy and just hung out. We did take the four wheelers a little but it was super muddy.

Sunday was the best day, we woke up to the sun and it stayed sunny all day. We all decided that everything that happened was sign that we weren't supposed to camp at Fire Point. Well who really knows.

Love Camping!!

4th of July

Stella and I spent the day at my parents house playing, swimming and prepping to can salsa.
Scott had to work so we didn't meet up with him until later in the evening.
We had dinner at my parents and enjoyed some family time then we went over to the Madsen's and had another dinner, lite of fireworks and watched the city fire works.

It was a great day being with family and enjoying our freedom.

Anna and Stella reading books and enjoying Niece/Aunt time.

Dan was nice enough to swim with Stella
The water was pretty cold and I wasn't feeling 100%
I am so sad that Dan moved back to Salt Lake, we are missing him so much
Stella loves her Uncle and gets excited every time she sees him

I went looking for Stella when I found her dancing in Anna's room with Anna and Susie.
Of course they were dancing to Justin Beiber!

I didn't take out my camera very often at them Madsen's, oops!

Happy 4th of July!!

Camping

{June 7 - 9}

North Rim of the Grand Canyon
After the lake we headed home showered, changed, and repacked the vehicles to our camping gear.
Scott had to go to a work meeting in Vegas so he didn't make it, we really missed him.

We headed out to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, we camped downa rode right before Jacob Lake
My Dad got three four wheelers and it was so much fun!
(Thanks Dad)
Stella didn't want to get on them at first but after she rode around for a couple minutes she loved it.
She started moving the drivers hand and pushing the throttle down all the way.
All she wanted to do was to go fast!
What an adrenalin junky!!

Camping is mine and Scott's favorite and is now I am pretty sure it is Stella's too.
She can just run free and I don't have worry.

Another Picture Overload

Dan was so great with Stella
He took her around on the four wheeler probably 20+ times
Almost every time Dan got on Stella would run over and ask to ride
and Dan would say yes. LOVE my brother

Dan and Pete after a long ride on the four wheeler.

 Pete's amazing Frisbee catch

 THE GRAND CANYON

 My wonderful family

This was Alex's first time to the Grand Canyon
It was awesome watching her, I forget that there are so many people who have never seen the Grand Canyon.
She just screamed over the edge and had the biggest smile

It was so windy!
It made me nervous and my heights fear kicked in a little.
So I let everyone else go right to edge and I hung back a little

Laura seemed to get all dressed up for a day of camping
She would come around the corner on the four wheeler looking like a model
LOVE my sisters!

Fixing the four wheeler with Papa
If you are looking for Stella just look for Papa. She LOVES him and wants to help out with everything

Pete and Michelle
We already miss them! Hopefully we will see them in November/December

Thanks again Mom and Dad for planning a great vacation.
Everything turned out great!
